Day 1 in Taipei-By Isaiah Brown

Today was the first full day in Taiwan. It rained, but we still had fun anyway.

We started off the day with breakfast in the hotel and it was good.

After that, we got on a bus and went to the National Palace Museum. At the museum, we were briefly prompted on the history of China and its many dynasties. We then went on a guided tour and saw many ancient artifacts and learned the history behind them. My personal favorite was the cauldron that they used to pay homage to the gods, as well as cook criminals.

We then went to a small restaurant and had a meal and bubble tea. After we went to a massive high school( Top 5 Public School) in Taipei and met with the Advanced English class at the school.

I had a good time talking and playing board games with them. We had a lot of laughs.

After we exchanged gifts and got on a train to the night market.

The night market was very cool and had many food stands, shops, and department stores.

Here we tried a variety of foods ranging from squid to blow torched steak to tofu fries.
Finally, we hopped on the metro and returned to the hotel.
All in all, it was a great day aside from the rain.
