Day 8 in Taipei- By Vickky Eniafe
First, we picked our tea leaves for about 45 minutes. Then we went to cook them so that the oxidation process will stop. Then rolled it up so that the leaves would break down. Then we spread them out on a net and baked them (which will take about 2 hrs) at 85 degrees. After the dried out it, they turned into the tea leaves we know and drink. We also saw 52 different species of tea leaves. We even went to the gift shop there and bought some tea. Then we had lunch at noon. It was a family-styled type of meal. After lunch, we rested for a little and had a short break. Then around 1:30pm, our tea leaves finished baking and we packed up some for home. After that, they brewed tea for us and we got to taste the tea leaves we made.
Then we rode in a car to the bus stop and from the bus, we rode to the MRT station 新店 station then 西门 where we transferred to the blue line and visited the Longshan Temple. This temple was built around the 1700s and is a place where people come to worship and praise their gods.
After that we went back on the MRT to Taipei Main Station then transferred from the blue line to the red line and rode to NTU Hospital to do some shopping. After shopping, we walked back to the MRT and rode it to Taipei 101 also called the World Trade Center of Taiwan. When we got there, we rode the elevator to the 89th floor of the tower. At Taipei 101, we ate dinner at a restaurant called Ding Tai Feng. It is the most famous restaurant in Taiwan.
After dinner, around 8:30, we headed to the MRT station then from there to the hotel. When we got back, we packed our bags and got ready for our flight tomorrow morning.
Wonderful , welcome home!!
